SCULPTOR

Luke Lukasewich

Luke Lukasewich is a classically trained sculptor educated at the Alberta College of Art. Over the last 30 years he has used his skills in many areas. He has extensive experience creating natural history exhibits for museums, properties for the film and television industry, restoring paleontological material, and mounting real fossil dinosaur skeletons. These mounted specimens are in museums all over the world. His public sculpture commissions include “First Street West Underpass Walkway” and “Steel Mural of the History of the CPR” in Calgary.

Luke embraces a philosophy of "Renewal" and many of his pieces are created from reclaimed materials, redesigned and repurposed for a renewed life. Just Imajan Art Gallery in Cochrane is pleased to feature a selection of these original works.
