Kathleen McCallum is an Alberta College of Art 1981 Visual Communications graduate. She has enjoyed a graphic design career for over twenty five years but her first love is painting. Kathleen is a member of the Alberta Society of Artists. She has been juried into the Calgary Stampede’s Western Showcase several times and has participated in the Members’ shows at the Leighton Art Centre. Her group exhibitions include Calgary, Edmonton, Banff, High River, and Lacombe. She is now very pleased to be represented by Just Imajan Gallery. Her distinctive acrylic images can be found in businesses, supporting organizations and in numerous private collections.

“With our lives so scheduled and rushed, we sometimes tend to overlook the simple pleasures in everyday objects surrounding us – something as basic as fragrant flowers or delicious fruit. The balance of colour, textural surprises, the sensual curves of my chosen subject matter are all brought to light for me when I paint.

I encourage the viewer to digest the vision; find delight in the detail; enjoy my unique style and those freshly produced images I wish to share with you.”
